well, i’m back.

i’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by my return home.  the unpacking, the laundry, the cleaning.  i’m trying not to think about the craziness of my first day back at work tomorrow.  i’m sure it will be nuts, so i’m just going to get a really good night’s sleep tonight and be ready for anything come tomorrow morning.

ulysses returns from a week vacation at my parent’s house tomorrow morning, so i’m getting all my cleaning done now and getting the house ready for his return.  i am excited to see the little dude.

the trip was nothing short of amazing.  the picture above is the view every night from our cabin.  it was absolutely perfect.  i’m still trying to figure out how i want to share the stories from our trip here on the blog.  once i do, i’m sure i’ll have some more to say about it.

lauren left about six hours ago.  interesting long distance relationship fact - this was the longest stretch of time we’d spent together since we started dating back in january.  our time together is usually confined to the weekend.  after spending every day with her for an entire week, there’s a noticeable absence now that she’s gone.  having her around every day is something i was enjoying and definitely getting quite accustomed to.

fortunately, in two weeks we have a whole other trip planned to the beach with her family.  i could get used to this “vacation every two weeks” kinda thing.
