Okay, LOST.. real talk.
Last night’s episode was appropriately bananas. There were definitely some amazing scenes. We’re hurtling towards the final hours of this epic show and you’ve been stringing me along for literally YEARS and despite my skepticism and snarkiness, I am excited to see how this show ends.
I just have one main complaint - which is stupid, because the finale is in the can and last I checked, Damon and Carlton don’t read my blog.
This final season relied entirely too much on showing all the past characters of LOST in the “flash sideways” universe. As if, each time they show a new character, they’re assuming we’re all sitting in our chairs, completely riveted saying “OH MY GOSH! It’s (insert old character) in the sideways universe! And look! He/She’s a (insert random profession) and he’s standing right next to (insert other old character)!!!”
Finally, I stopped really caring who popped up in the sideways universe. I guess I’m just saying - the sideways stuff better start going somewhere really fast, because as it stands now, it’s just wasting precious minutes of what’s actually going on on the island.
I guess this is nothing new. I’ve been frustrated all season, but fortunately the show is getting better every week. I just feel like I’m a heckler in the audience for a speech that’s going on way too long, shouting “WRAP IT UP, FOLKS!”
