Last night was the second week night in a ROW where I left the house to do some drinking, which is some kind of early-30s record for me.  I doubt I can keep up this kind of a pace though, because today at work I feel like death warmed over.  But it’s all good!
I ended up for the first time at McCormack’s Whiskey Grill, which I can’t believe I somehow hadn’t been to yet.  I was a little intimidated by the gigantic fucking wall of whiskey options, so I opted for my standard order of a greyhound.  I expected the bartender/owner to give me a look like “You order a greyhound in my whiskey bar?!  GET THE HELL OUT!”  But instead, he runs back and grabs a FRESH GRAPEFRUIT.  Freshly-squeezed greyhounds.  It was DIVINE.  Even this morning, I am having delicious greyhound flashbacks.   Possibly the best surprise greyhound I’ve had yet in Richmond.
The reason I was out on the town was to hang out with my good non-Tumbling buddy Rye who is shortly moving to Austin, Texas.  He was also joined by my Tumblr friend rickwebb who I had not yet met in real life.  Never pass up a chance to meet a Tumblr pal in real life.  It usually ends up being awesome.
I ended up spending most of the night chatting it up with VCU Brandcenter students, who oddly enough, I never see out about about in Richmond.  Do I hang out in places where advertising people don’t go, or are these people hiding in plain sight?  I have no idea.  As an added bonus, I bumped into Hugel at the very end of the night.
Anyway, good times.  Good greyhounds.  Good new, old, internet, and non-internet friends.
Also, whiskeyandgoatsmilk, WHISKEY!  COME VISIT!
