today we had to put our family’s cat to sleep.  he was actually my brother’s cat, but he’d been living at my parent’s house for the last few years, so the whole family kinda adopted him as our own.

he named the cat killer, which if you knew my brother at all, this would not surprise you whatsoever.  you know how sometimes pets take on the personalities of their owners?  this was also totally true.  killer was a cat-version of clayton.

during the several months i spent recuperating from my accident, killer and i spent a lot of time together.  and while he was standoff-ish most of the time, we’d have these little moments where he’d let his guard down and be the best cat ever.

i’ll miss you, killer.  keep it real up there in cat heaven for me.
