i read this article at chicagobusiness.com about people stepping away from blogging as a platform and couldn’t help but think “yes. yes. and yes.”

if you’re a consistent reader of this blog, of which i know there are a handful, you’ll know that my posting amount has about dropped in spades.  my actual written content even more so.

it’s a multitude of things.  i can’t blog in detail about work because too many co-workers read the blog and i am not about to be the guy who gets fired for a blog post.  i don’t want to blog about my relationship because i think you guys will start vomiting from all my sappiness.  then, of course, there’s the beautiful 140-characters of twitter that steal so many of my previously-blogworthy thoughts.

i’m going to keep posting here obviously, but i just felt like sharing this article that very nicely captured my current feelings on this blog and my ability to keep it updated.

i have some exciting writing projects that may be coming up in the near future that i hope will act as a great outlet for me.  i plan on sharing these as soon as they come to fruition.  i also have been giving a lot of thought to this blog and what kind of format will take shape.  i haven’t given up on it, i just need to figure out what i want to say/do here.

stay tuned!
