this year for christmas, i decided to give a gift to my amateur DJ alter ego ROBOT E. LEE.
in an effort to become slightly less amateur, i bought this awesome mixer. it’s the vestax VCI-300. i will be unleashing it this saturday at cous cous. i’m excited to finally leave the difficult, antiquated and annoying world of CDs behind. DJing with vinyl is an artform. DJing with CDs is just stupid.
while i still barely know what i’m doing with it, i did want to sing the praises of the website i bought it from. brooklyn’s proaudiostar.com made the process really easy. i spent several weeks agonizing about exactly what to purchase because not only are there different mixers, but different DJ software programs and all kinds of other things that made this whole thing complicated. this was the only consistent site i found that had detailed blogs, reviews, and even videos from their staff walking through the device features and differences between later and earlier models. i was seriously impressed. then, when i finally called to pull the trigger on buying it - they gave me a seriously awesome discount.
good dudes. good store. these guys are like zappos if zappos sold DJ gear. big kudos.
