yesterday my dad went in for his quadruple bypass surgery.  it was a long day, but he made it out fine and he’s now in the ICU.  all the post-surgery analysis and x-rays are showing good signs.  the next 24 hours are pretty critical and they’ll be keeping a close eye on him, but if things go well he should be out of the ICU this evening.

thanks for all the thoughts/prayers.  he’s got a long recovery ahead, but the big/scary/terrible part is over and now the hard work begins.
