best friends day weekend missed connections are a GOLD MINE of hilarity.  mostly because everyone got completely shithammered and can’t remember what happened - making craigslist missed connections a valuable necessity.

today was especially hilarious because there were two missed connections that i think were based on the drunkenness of one person.  here’s the first one:

You checked to see if I was still alive - 24 (Broad & Madison)

We met but I don’t remember it.

I had been partying a little to much last night and started to walk back home. Apparently I wanted to take a nap on the street at 2am. You checked for a phone in my jacket and texted my girlfriend “The person you are trying to reach is passed out on the corner of Broad and Madison.” After that I walked the rest of the mile and a half and made it to bed by 5am.

So, I lived but you know I don’t know where that jacket is. Or my cellphone for that matter. Or my car key that was in another pocket. If you have it or know more details please help me piece my night back together.

now, i was fully prepared to do a blog just on this alone, simply because this happened literally right in front of my house.  unfortunately, i was not at home for this exciting midtown drama.  at this time, i was in the fan jumping into a swimming pool in my underwear and singing taylor swift songs. (i’m not joking here.. there are witnesses - feel free to judge me).

so then i kept reading and found THIS ONE:

Half naked guy who showed up in my house (Clay st.)

This is to the half naked, probably wasted, guy who somehow got into my house on Best friend’s day around 4 am. You left your soaking wet pants, keys and a dead cell phone here, I can leave it outside for you.. you probably need those things.

OH MY GOD!  is this our same guy?!  did he somehow wake up from his nap, walk over to a house on clay st. and disrobe on his way home?!

unfortunately, since it’s a missed connection, we’ll never know.  and that’s part of the fun.  it will forever be a mystery to us.

at least we know he made it home and didn’t die.
