i talk about a lot of music on this blog.

but what i rarely talk about is my serious love for choral music.  i sang it in high school and for a stint in college.  in fact, one of my great collegiate regrets (aside from my choice of hairstyle) was quitting the choir to focus on other things that i thought would help me meet more hot babes.

oh well!  anyway, one composer that always stuck with me was the brilliant and unique eric whitacre, who wrote some of the crazy awesome music i ever sang while in choir.  it was challenging to sing, but the sound of the group together singing his music was one of the most haunting and powerful things i’ve ever heard.
