now, i haven’t exactly put together a list of “first things i wish a model at a videoshoot would say to me”, but off the top of my head, i can think of a few things.  “hey, i totally read your blog” would definitely be in my top five.

turns out this model was a friend of some of my friends and had stumbled upon my blog a few months ago.  her name was julia and we had a nice conversation about blogs and richmond and the various people we were connected through.  julia wins because a) i watched her pick up and put down cellphones for about 30 minutes and she kicked ass at it and b) she was reading the watchmen graphic novel, which i somehow managed to not geek out about in front of everyone.  so julia, thanks for reading the blog.  richmond is the smallest city ever.

so as you can guess, today was my first videoshoot ever and despite trying to play it cool, i was totally excited.  seeing all the lights and the equipment and all the production people running around..  it’s a pretty exciting thing if you haven’t been around it very much.  so i was loving it.

a video shoot is definitely a finely-tuned operation and i have so much respect for the people who put these shoots together.  i was especially pleased to see al from cous cous arrive to deliver a delicious catered lunch.

not a bad day for a wednesday!  three cheers for video shoots!
