so at first i deleted this post, thinking it was going to stir up more trouble than it’s worth, but then i drank two tallboys at the bar and i’ve decided the world needs to know the incredible story of ricky and the keyboard cat.
so a month ago, a video got posted on one of the messageboards i read. it featured a guy named ricky who had recently been dumped by his girlfriend. in the video, he says pretty much some of the scariest shit i’ve ever heard and everyone on the messageboard agreed that his ex-girlfriend had better file a restraining order.
in an attempt to lighten the mood, i decided that ricky’s video was a prime candidate for a keyboard cat. that said, i simply went to his vimeo page where the video was easily downloadable, opened up imovie, and went to town. here was my original creation:
so, the video was originally just for my own satisfaction, but then i noticed a few weeks later, the video was gaining popularity. it had almost 5,000 views!
next thing you know, RICKY FROM THE VIDEO FINDS ME ON YOUTUBE! apparently, i was not the only one who had re-posted his video on youtube, so he sent out a video to all the haters. for the record, i was not a hater. i simply thought his video needed a little keyboard cat to spice things up. here’s his scathing response:
my first response was to delete my video, because i don’t want to incur the wrath of ricky. he seems like he’s serious business. but then tonight at the bar, there was unanimous support to take things to the next level. so ricky, here is my official response:
i love you, ricky. and so does keyboard cat.
edit: hey tumblrs, i guess you can’t see the videos on your dashboard. bummer! click on the actual blog!
