Okay folks, time to put the internet to good use.

Lauren and I are looking for our perfect wedding venue here in the Richmond area and we need your help.  I know all of you crazy kids have been to weddings that you love in the area, so maybe you can help us out.

Here’s what we want:

-Within a 1 hour radius of Richmond, VA. (that includes you, Charlottesville!)

- A place we can accommodate our gigantic families.  Needs to allow for 200, possibly a few more.

- Something rustic with indoor/outdoor spaces.  Maybe a little weather flexibility would be nice?  Wide open grassy spaces, but also with a nice view of some mountains or a body of water, or heck, maybe just some trees.  There are many plantations/wineries that meet this requirement.  Some place a little more “farm” than “fancy”.

- A place that ISN’T a wedding factory.  You know the places that churn out wedding after wedding and they’ve got it down to an assembly line style.  We’re looking to put our own stamp on this thing and would like a place that is willing to work with us on that.  Hopefully a place that exists as more than just a wedding venue.

- Somewhere we can dance it up and not get kicked out before 11:00pm.

- We’re thinking it’s a little more likely that we’ll find something in the outskirts of Richmond, but we’re wide open to that perfect secret spot in the city proper.

- BONUS: If it has something historical about it, especially Civil War historical, then you know I’m going to be geeking out, so that’s always fun.
