iron & wine - communion cups and someone’s coat

so i have been totally sleeping on iron & wine lately.

don’t get me wrong, i’ve loved them for years, but i totally forgot how FUCKING AMAZING sam beam is.  i bought the rarities album at the store on sunday totally as an impulse purchase.  it had been a good year since i was regularly binging on iron & wine songs.

now i’m fully back in love with his music.  so many great songs that i had heard and forgot about and a lot i’ve never heard before.

it totally takes me back to the first time i heard iron & wine.  i remember thinking it had this perfect lo-fi quality to it.  it sounded like someone leaving little love songs on someone’s answering machine.
