today i visited steady sounds, my newest neighbor.  they’re a vinyl record shop located directly across the street from my apartment. i’ve talked on the blog several times about how excited i am for the recent developments in my neighborhood.  this is one of those developments that is making me really proud to be living here. i stopped in and picked up four ida 7” records.  i’ve spent the evening listening and enjoying ida songs i’ve never heard before.  i did, however, forget just how annoying they are when you have to flip the record every five minutes.  it’s all good though. if you live in richmond, take the opportunity to stop by the shop.  it’s still getting settled in, but there are some great finds.  i am going to drop off some SEAS records there this week, so if you haven’t picked that up, that’s a great place to start!
