if you are one of the many people who saw my myspace bulletins about going to king’s dominion and did not respond, then your labor day weekend resulted in EPIC FAIL.

king’s dominion was nothing short of amazing.

first off, my theory rang true, which pleased me to no end. i theorized that even though it was a holiday weekend, the fact that school started the next day meant that there would be less crowds. instead of piling the kids in the minivan and riding rollercoasters, moms and dads across virginia were instead buying last-minute school supplies and getting haircuts and stuff. i was right. i never waited more than 15 minutes to ride anything, and the majority of rides had literally no line at all. we rode drop zone twice in a row just because we could do it all within 5 minutes.

i went with my esteemed roommate kenneth and the lovely brandi. both were excellent partners in crime. i tried to win brandi a huge stuffed animal. i failed. i did manage to get my picture taken with one though.

other highlights included:
- getting soaking wet on the white water rapids ride
- riding volcano in the first row
- paying $4 for my beloved diet pepsi

and of course, on the way out, just to celebrate in my victory, we photographed the vastly empty parking lot.

next summer, when i post my next bulletin, y’all better not sleep on king’s dominion.
