iceland: day 3 and 4

Iceland: Revenge of the Runtur
On our second day in Iceland, Clayton and I were feeling like native Icelanders. The city layout was getting more familiar to us, we’d discovered some really great restaurants, and we found just about every record store in town. We were feeling pretty brave.

i totally meant to post about the runtur on the blog.
sorry for the overwhelming amount of blog content coming out of iceland. i’m sorta treating this as a journal, so i don’t forget all the stuff i did.
the runtur is basically iceland’s word for bar-hopping. the nightlife here is pretty wild. lots of people roaming the street in the late-night hours.

man oh man. what a difference a solid 7 hours (well maybe 6) of sleep makes.
we woke up this morning bright and early at 8:30 to go deep sea fishing. but when we showed up at the location, the sign said it was closed. the same company also does puffin-watching tours and the sign said “the puffins have left iceland”. all in all, it was a very sad little booth.

away we go.
so we’re about t-minus one hour from the first leg of our trip. DC to boston. once in boston, we’ll have a lovely 5-hour layover to contend with, so expect more blogging/boredom.
i spent all morning packing and trying to squeeze all my stuff into the weight and size limit restrictions of iceland air. i think we successfully managed both.
